Olli Gark Released from Pre-Trial Detention

NORDBERG – Businessman Olli Gark has been released from pre-trial detention following negotiations between his legal counsel and the Coalition of Nordberg (CN), although the investigation into his activities remains ongoing.

According to statements made after his release, Gark’s attorney, Helga Otters, reached an agreement with CN during closed-door negotiations that resulted in his release while the investigation proceeds.

Despite his release, authorities continue to hold assets belonging to both Hedge Village Bank and Olli Gark. Officials have not disclosed when or if the seized assets will be returned, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.

Speaking to reporters shortly after regaining his freedom, Gark expressed gratitude to those he said had supported him throughout the legal process.

“I would like to thank my attorney, Helga Otters, the Coalition of Nordberg, and the Congregation of Peace for reaching this decision,” Gark said.

Gark emphasized that the investigation remains incomplete and that many aspects of the case have yet to be resolved.

“The investigation is still very much underway,” he stated. “Many of the alleged offenses are still being clarified as investigators continue their work.”

He also firmly rejected one of the accusations that has been publicly associated with the case.

“I believe the allegations of tax fraud are unfounded,” Gark said, maintaining his innocence regarding those claims.

In a separate announcement, Gark confirmed that he is stepping down from the board of Nordberg Bank, citing what he described as a loss of confidence surrounding the institution and the ongoing proceedings.

“I believe it is in the best interest of the bank that I resign from the board while these matters are addressed,” he said.

Coalition of Nordberg officials have not commented on the details of the agreement negotiated with Gark’s legal team, describing the discussions as confidential.
