Increased Bombardment Raises Concerns of Imminent Attack
The situation around Halli Airfield in Nordberg is becoming increasingly tense as bombardments have intensified during the last few days. Despite an unwritten rule that neither the Northern Royal Guard (NRG) nor the Coalition of Nordberg (CN) would target the airfield to preserve its valuable assets, recent attacks have resulted in damage to at least one facility.
While conducting an interview on the NRG side, a shell hit nearby about 100 meters away. “The shelling to our positions used to happen few times per week, but now the shellings are daily. We’ve started to see more and more drones scouting and bombarding our positions as well.” -NRG soldier.
Halli Airfield is rumored to house immense strategic resources, making it a highly coveted location for both factions. Military analysts now predict that the Coalition of Nordberg, which currently does not control the airfield, may launch a significant offensive. Their goal could be to seize the airfield or, failing that, to destroy the valuable assets to prevent them from falling into NRG hands.
“The increased bombardment and damage to facilities suggest that the Coalition might be preparing for a decisive move,” said one analyst. “If they can’t secure the airfield, they might aim to ensure the NRG can’t utilize its resources either.”
The airfield’s capture would provide a crucial strategic advantage, enabling more effective operations against the city of Jämsä, which has been under prolonged attack but remains unconquered by the CN.
As tensions escalate, the residents and combatants in Nordberg brace for a potential shift in the conflict’s dynamics. The coming days could see significant developments around Halli Airfield, potentially altering the course of the war.

I bet it is just NRG bombing their own positions for propaganda. Nothing new.
